Mercy High School Honors 6 with Catherine McAuley Award

Rev. Gregory Galvin, Ms. Betsy Gilmartin, Attorney AnnMarie Cienava Rocco '79, Mr. Daryl Ruggiero, Mrs. Jean Ryan and Mrs. Patty Wallack received the Catherine McAuley Award on Saturday, April 5 at Mercy High School.

The award recognizes those who have made a significant contribution to the school community, have lived by the ideals of the Mercy tradition, and exemplify the qualities of Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy,

Those attending the dinner and ceremony included Sr. Mary McCarthy, RSM, Principal of Mercy High School, Rev. Robert Abbatiello, OFM Cap, of St. Pius X Church in Middletown, Sr. Mary Etta Higgins, RSM, representing the Sisters of Mercy Northeast Community, Ms. Joanne Nesti, Mercy alumna, Ms. Ann Derbacher, as well as friends and family of the recipients, and friends and faculty of Mercy High School.
