Mercy High School, Middletown, CT
Mercy High School prepares young women to take their place in life. In the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy and their foundress Catherine McAuley, each student is challenged to grow, to realize her full potential, and to provide service to others in an atmosphere that fosters a spirit of community and compassion.

Alumnae Reunions celebrate the women we have become; the school, faculty and friends that helped shape us; and the mission and future we share with our young women of today. Please join us!

Boston Area Alumnae Reception
On Monday, October 22, approximately 25 Mercy alumnae, representing classes from 1967 to 2007 came together to meet, reminisce and visit with Sr. Mary, Principal of Mercy High. The synergy in the room was phenomenal and strongly rooted in the Mercy values and experience that everyone shared. Without exception, our alumnae enjoyed the evening and will surely find this geographic piece of the Mercy network helpful to them in the future.

We thank Brenda Speight Ricard '82 and Chris Rinaldi '73, for hosting this special evening. If you are interested in hosting a Boston area event, please contact Barbara Miller at bmiller@mercyhigh.com. or (860) 347-8957. By working with Boston area alumnae, Mercy hopes to build a pilot program of value that can be replicated in other regional areas.

Class Reunions

Pictures from reunions held in 2007 are posted here. Check back often and see if you can recognize everyone!

Class years ending in a "3" or an "8" will be celebrating their own anniversary next year. A majority of the details are handled by this office, but we need you to decide how you would like to celebrate. Please contact Barb Miller at bmiller@mercyhigh.com if you would like to help organize your own reunion.

Class of 1967
The Class of 1967 had a great time on Saturday, November 17, at the Cromwell Marriott. The event was good all around with almost 30 “girls” in attendance. Good food. Good company. Good memories. Good friends. What more could you ask?? To view pictures of the evening, click here.

Class of 1972
On Saturday, September 29, alumnae from the Class of '72 came together to reminisce and reconnect. At the request of several women, a tour of the school was held just prior to the reunion at Tuscany Grill in Middletown. Although, there have been significant changes at the school their graduation, they found so much that was still familiar! Said Pat Ryan Boothroyd, "Everyone had a wonderful time …For those that came it was a memorable evening." If you were unable to attend and would like to receive a copy of the booklet that was distributed, please email Barbara Miller at bmiller@mercyhigh.com..

Class of 1977
On Friday, October 26, more than 30 alumnae from the Class of '77 gathered at Nikitas Bar and Bistro in Middletown for a very spirited reunion. Hugs, laughter and lots of chatter reverberated throughout the room as our 'girls' caught up and remembered happy (and sometime hilarious) exploits at Mercy. Given their 30 year perspective, it was also interesting to hear them talk about the value of their time at Mercy - which went far beyond simple academics. Pics of the of the evening are posted here. Note the mural in the background of many. It was painted by Maureen Longo. And, finally, if you were unable to attend or otherwise didn't get a booklet, contact Barbara Miller at bmiller@mercyhigh.com..

Class of 1982
The Class of 1982 celebrated its 25th Year Reunion on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Mohegan Sun casino in Uncasville, CT. Classmates were so anxious to meet and catch up with old friends that they cluttered the doorway and had to be prodded to sit down and enjoy dinner. When they were full of good food and memories, they went in groups to try their luck and enjoy other entertainment venues offered at the casino. We haven't heard how they made out, but we know they all went home winners! If you were unable to attend and would like a copy of the reunion booklet, please email Barbara Miller at bmiller@mercyhigh.com.. You'll find some pictures of the reunion here.

Class of 1987
Biggest class, biggest party is right! Over 60 attended as the Class of 1987 reunited at the Baci Grill in Cromwell on Saturday, October 6. Joining them were Sr. Mary, Sylvia Gartska, Marie Grassi and Ann Derbacher. A DJ was present and a dance floor there for the taking, but few took advantage, preferring instead to spend time with friends laughing and reliving the glory days of Mercy. Good food, good friends, good fun and good music. What more could you ask?? If you missed coming and would like a copy of the reunion booklet, email Barbara Miller at bmiller@mercyhigh.com.. You'll find some pictures of the reunion here.

Class of 1992
Mercy's Class of 1992 met on Saturday, September 1, at Eli Cannon's Tap Room in Middletown. By all accounts, the evening was wonderful and our alum enjoyed the time to live and laugh together again. Just like it was yesterday! If you couldn't make it and would like a copy of the reunion booklet, email Barbara Miller: bmiller@mercyhigh.com..

Class of 1997
Women from the Class of 1997 partied hardy on Saturday, November 24. Almost 50 grads gathered at the Baci Grill in Cromwell to reconnect with good friends from their high school days, relive old memories and make new ones. Click here for some fun pics!

Class of 2002

It was party time! More than 20 members from the Class of 2002 met at Harbor Park Restaurant on Friday, August 24. Some came for all, some came for part of the fun, but there's no doubt about it, everyone had a great time! If you were unable to attend and would to receive a copy of the reunion booklet in the mail, email Barbara Miller: bmiller@mercyhigh.com..
