School Day Testing for ACT - Class of 2023

Dear Parents/Guardians of Juniors,

We are excited to offer school-day testing for the ACT (without essay) on March 8, 2022. Although the ACT will be taken during the school day, juniors have the option of whether they would like to take it or not. The School Counseling department does recommend that students take the ACT, as all colleges will accept the ACT and/or SAT and will use the highest score on either test during the admissions process. Although many colleges may still be test-optional for the class of 2023, we encourage our juniors to take advantage of this opportunity.

If your child requires testing accommodations but has not been approved by ACT, they will not be eligible for testing accommodations.

The cost of the ACT is $48.00 which will be billed to you directly from Mercy High School.

Please respond to the following survey no later than Monday, January 24, 2022, if your student will be taking the ACT at Mercy. By answering yes, this will register her to take the test.

  • Yes, my daughter will take the ACT at Mercy High School on Wednesday, March 8, 2022.

Please note that if a student signs up to take the ACT at Mercy and then decides not to take it, they must inform Mrs. Buono of the change by January 24th, or they will incur the $48.00 testing fee. There will be no refunds after this date.

Please contact Mrs. Buono at mbuono@mercyhigh.com with any questions.

Thank you,

Marla Buono

Director of School Counseling
