After another successful spring season, nine Mercy athletes made their respective Connecticut High School Coaches Association teams in track and field, softball, tennis and lacrosse.
The nine athletes were:
Track and Field: Sarah Roberts ’26, Beatrice Perrault ’26, Calista Nephew ’26, Alyson Low ’28, and Madelyn Scarfo ’27
Softball: Maggie Mathews ’26 and Julia Lane ’27
Tennis: Amelia Mullane '27
Lacrosse: Cecelia Peary '27
The nine total athletes were the most for Mercy in the last four years.
Mercy also finished the school year with two state championships in cross country and indoor track and field, and four conference championships in cross country, soccer, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field.
The Tigers best state finish this year was in outdoor track and field, where the team finished third at the Class MM state championship. It was the fourth straight year the track and field team was in the top three at the state championship. The softball team also advanced to the Class State Quarterfinals before losing to New Milford.
