Higher Achievement Program (HAP) 
For girls rising to 7th or 8th grade

  July 10 - 21,  2017  9 am - 3 pm 
Save $50 and register before June 1 -  $400.  
June 1- June 30  Registration - $450.

The 2017 Higher Achievement Program (HAP) is a two week enrichment course held in July that combines social activities, athletics and creative classroom techniques.  This unique program assists and prepares students entering Grades 7 and 8 for high school, reinforcing Reading, Language and Math skills needed for the HSPT (High School Placement Test).  HAP also offers students a glimpse of the high school experience - developing friendships, working together in a classroom setting and on the playing field, community service, and the arts.  Pre and post exams were given.

Program features:

  • A professional staff experienced in teaching English, Math and Reading.
  • Three hours of daily comprehensive skills development in air-conditioned, small classroom settings.
  • On-site recreational time including sports, arts, crafts, robotics, science is fun, and community service projects.

Theatre Arts Program (TAP)

For girls rising to 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th grade

 July 24-July 28,  2017  9 am - 3 pm    $250.

The 2017 Theatre Arts Program (TAP) provides a creative and interactive theatrical experience. The focus of the two-week session is on Musical Theater and culminates with a Musical Production.  Students will also tour and attend a matinee performance at the Goodspeed Opera House.

Program Features:

  • A professional staff experienced in Musical Theatre
  • Daily workshops on singing, dancing, and acting, conducted in air-conditioned facilities.
  • Opportunities to practice technique and perform on stage
  • Improvisation monologue and scene study
  • Set design and costuming.

Vocal  Intensive Program (VIP)

For girls rising to  6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th grade

July 24-28, 2017  12pm - 3pm  - $175

A week-long program which focuses on the basics of singing and choral technique. Students will prepare a program for a performance at the end of the week. 

Program Features:

  • professional staff experienced in singing
  • introduction and reinforcement of basic singing techniques such as breathing, posture, support and resonance
  • exposure to a variety of different choral music

Basketball Clinic 
For girls rising to 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th grade

  July 24-28,  2017  9 am - 12 pm  $175.00

This week-long clinic provides an opportunity for girls to have fun and make new friends while taking their game to the next level.  All participants receive their own new basketball.  This program has a limited capacity, register early to reserve your space for 2017.

Program Features:

  • Instruction by Tim Kohs, Mercy High Varsity Basketball Coach and Athletic Director. 
  • Practice drills and learn new skills for better game play
  • Compete in real games and win prizes.

Soccer  Clinic  - Evening Program 
For girls rising to 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th grade

July 24-27, 2017  5 pm - 7 pm - $100.
(Rain date of July 28 should one night be cancelled) 

This camp provides a fun and competitive environment for players of all ability levels. Join us for an excellent opportunity to learn lessons on respect, integrity, responsibility, leadership, and sportsmanship. Participants will be involved in team play, skill development, games, and tournaments. Each participant will leave with a Mercy Soccer Camp T-shirt and significant growth in all aspects of their game as well as new friends.
