A Mercy Education is Priceless!
Mercy High School works very hard to keep tuition affordable for families. The following tuition rates apply for school year 2018 - 2019:
- Catholics registered within the Norwich Diocese: $14,900.
- Catholics registered in a Parish of the Hartford Archdiocese: $15,100.
- Non-Catholics and Non-registered Catholics: $15,400.
There are additional costs for application, registration, books, uniforms, testing services and some courses and activities.
A new fact sheet jointly issued by the National Catholic Education Association and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is a great resource for parents considering a Catholic education for their children. Thanks to changes in the tax code, families can use 529 college savings plans to pay for Catholic school from elementary school onward.
Bus transportation is provided to students from Middletown (no charge) and many existing towns ($950.00 for 2017-2018). Juniors and seniors may drive to Mercy and pay a parking fee of $100.00.
Tuition deductions are available for families with other children attending Mercy or Xavier High School within the same academic school year. Deductions are applied to the younger children.
Oldest Child: Full Tuition
2nd Child: Deduct $500
3rd Child: Deduct $1,000
4th Child: Free
In order to assist parents, Mercy offers a tuition payment plan through FACTS Tuition Management. Tuition can also be paid in cash, by check or by credit card.
A $500 deposit is required in March to secure enrollment. The deposit is applied to tuition. The first tuition payment is billed in July. There are three payment options:
- Full payment in July (cash, check or credit card)
- Two payments – one in July and one in December (cash, check or credit card)
- Ten payments – July through April – using FACTS ($45.00 fee)
